How To Install
- Step 1: Open our Website in your preferred Web Browser
Launch the Browser app and navigate to our website. - Step 2: Tap the Share Button
Once the website is loaded, look for the Share icon at the bottom of the browser's menu. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards. - Step 3: Select 'Add to Home Screen'
A menu will pop up with several options. Scroll down and tap on Add to Home Screen. - Step 4: Name the App and Add It
A final screen will appear, allowing you to customize the name of the shortcut as it will appear on your home screen. Once you're happy with the name, tap the Add button in the top-right corner.
Features
- What can I track with Nutrical?
Nutrical lets you track calories, macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, water intake, weight progress and antioxidants. You can also log custom meals and recipes. - Does Nutrical support progress graphs?
Yes, you can view your progress over time with interactive charts. - Can I sync my data across devices?
Yes, Nutrical supports cloud sync for premium users.
Subscription & Pricing
- Is Nutrical free?
Nutrical offers a free version with core features. Premium features require a subscription. - What do I get with a premium subscription?
Premium unlocks cloud sync, advanced nutrition tracking, priority support, and more customization options. - How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
You can manage your subscription from your account settings.
Getting Started
- How do I create an account?
Sign up using your Google account on the login page. - How do I start tracking my meals?
Go to the main dashboard and use the '+' button to log your food. - Can I import data from other apps?
Currently, Nutrical does not support direct import from other apps, but you can manually add your data.
- What are tags?
Tags serve the function of narrowing down search results and organizing food entries. If you find difficulties with searching for a certain food item, using tags or disabling some of them, while keeping others enabled can help you locate it more easily. - What tags are there?
There are 9 tags in total, each serving a specific purpose:- Foundation Made by USDA, you can find whole foods and basic ingredients there. This tag has the most accurate nutritional data.
- Legacy Made by USDA, you can find traditional and cultural foods, as well as more whole foods. If you have difficulties with searching for foods with the Foundation tag, using this tag may help.
- Survey Made by USDA, you can find foods that are commonly consumed in the US. This tag has a mix of whole foods and processed foods, and the nutritional data may vary in accuracy.
- Branded Made by food manufacturers, you can find packaged and processed foods here. The nutritional information may vary, hence why we added an "Enhance with AI" button to help improve accuracy.
- OpenFoodFacts A collaborative database of user-generated content for tracking a wide variety of foods.
- Foreign Composed of NEVO, AFCD and CoFID - an European alternative for USDA.
- Custom This tag serves as a way to filter out foods to search your custom meals and barcode scanned foods.
- Recipe This tag serves to identify and organize your custom recipe entries within the app.
- Supplements This tag is used to identify and organize supplement entries within the app.
Custom Meals
- How do I add a custom meal?
Go to the 'Custom Meals' section and click 'Add Custom Meal'. Enter the details and save. - Can I edit or delete custom meals?
No, it's not possible to edit or delete custom meals at this time.
Custom Recipes
- How do I create a custom recipe?
Navigate to the 'Recipes' page and select 'Add Recipe'. Fill in the ingredients and instructions. - Can I share my recipes?
Recipe sharing is coming soon! For now, you can keep your recipes private or manually share the details.
Food Databases and AI
- What AI features does Nutrical offer?
Nutrical uses various sources for food databases: USDA FoodData Central, OpenFoodFacts, NEVO, AFCD and CoFID - a collaborative database of user-generated content. Since we rely on user contributions, the accuracy of the data may vary. Hence why we use AI to help verify and improve the data quality and add key nutrients that might be missing. To add these nutrients, simply tap on "Check for all nutrients with AI". - Is my data safe with AI features?
Yes, your data is processed securely and is never shared without your consent.
